NetConsole - Your Administrative Control Panel

netConsole is our web-based administration control panel. With it, you have exclusive webserver management capabilities from any computer with a web browser. netConsole allows the administration of Authors, email services, installation/debugging of CGI scripts, auto-installation of pre-packaged applications, and 2 log analyzers for comprehensive analysis and reporting of your website traffic.

Some of the features of NetConsole are:

• Complete control of email - including POP and/or IMAP account creation, spam and virus control, aliased addresses, forwarded addresses, autoresponders, and mailing lists. Email control features include the ability to send received messages to multiple accounts, autorespond from aliased addresses, and setup of a Catchall account to catch mail sent to a mis-addressed and /or non existing address at the domain.
• Email Auto Responders - Email autoresponders allow you to set up an e-mail box that automatically sends a response to an incoming e-mail message. These are great if you need to e-mail a vacation notice, out of the office notice, newsletter, catalog, etc. - back to the sender. An added convenience is the ability to control the start and stop date and time, for each autoresponse.
• List Servers - NetConsole includes a very powerful, easy to configure, and easy to control email list server. Whether you are looking for a moderated, private, and/or a public list server, the netCONSOLE list servers' functionality is unmatched in the industry. It has been specifically designed and programmed to make list administration manageable, intuitive, easy, and fast. The netCONSOLE list server is engineered as a matched and integrated component of the Server's email software.
• Authors - easily create, modify and delete FTP users or authors for your site.
• CGI Package Installer - Installation of the included CGI scripts is fully automated. All of the scripts, permissions, and required html pages and directories are automatically added. Multiple copies of a script can be installed and ran from specified directories of your choice, thus allowing you to install and run, for instance, multiple copies of guest books for different clients. Scripts available for install include:
• ezSecure - this program creates a secured directory on your web-server that can only be accessed by a specific group of users who are selected by the webmaster.
• Guestbook - the Guestbook is a program that lets your users leave comments about your web-site. This popular package, adds a friendly touch to any web-site.
• Fortune Cookie - the Fortune Cookie displays a randomly-generated string of text.
• Hit-Counter - the Hit-Counter allows the webmaster to display how many users have visited a webpage.
• Mailform - this CGI provides you with the ability to create forms that people can use to send email.
• netShop - the netShop is a practical, flexible and efficient shopping cart solution that features web-based product maintenance, SSL compatibility and much more.
• PHP3 hypertext preprocessor - Like Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASP) and Netscape/Sun Microsystem's Java Server Pages (JSP), PHP is a server-side scripting language you can use to enhance your web pages.
• Search - allows visitors to search your site.
• CGI Debugger - If you've written or installed a third-party script but can't get it to run, the CGI Debugger can be used to analyze, and possibly correct, the problems with your script. Place a CGI script in your CGI-BIN directory, tell netCONSOLE to read and run it, and it will return any errors that will keep it from installing correctly. The CGI Debugger has an added advantage of allowing you to permanently set the CGI to run in a restricted mode where it cannot modify files, or will only modify files you elect it to.
• 2 Graphical Log Analyzers - Webalizer and AWStats. Includes very comprehensive reports that contain: Daily Statistics, Hourly Statistics, Top Sites Visiting, Top URL's Visited, Top Referrers to your Site, Browser Agents, Countries, etc.. The log analysis report can also be zipped and downloaded directly from netCONSOLE for archival, emailing, or reproduction for you or your clients.
• Raw Log Control - netCONSOLE will allow you to download the real time raw log file in either a compressed or uncompressed format. Compressed format includes the zip and gzip formats.
• CGI Security - If you are currently setting your CGI script permissions to 0666 or 0777, so that the CGI can write or save to the script, you are allowing anyone to write to the script, regardless of whether or not they can browse to the home directory. Your entire site could be brought down - especially - if the CGI was changed illegitimately. netCONSOLE eliminates this security hole completely.
